Lemon Grove Little League

Field Status

In March 2023, after some rain, a hole appeared behind the Majors field fence. In that same month we had a
walkthrough with City in regards to the erosion because it appeared to be near the city's Storm drain, and possibly the cause.

The City reviewed property boundaries, and the erosion is on Little League property.
Board of Directors began trouble shooting ways to effectively fix the erosion and preserve our field.

In March 2023, Board Treasurer Submitted a FY24 Community Project Funding request  with  Congresswoman Sara Jacobs.
Request was to help fund a retaining wall to fix the erosion and the possibility of  Lights for our Fields.

In August 2023 - The League granted the City access to the fields to camera storm drain lines that may/may not have a link to the erosion issues being experienced.

The Rain from January 22nd 2024, made our erosion Problems worst.
There are multiple erosion issues in our trouble area, and early estimate to resolve the issue were around  $100K-$120K.

In February 8, 2024, a new problem appeared when a sink hole started in our Parking lot.
On February 20, the City Council of Lemon Grove authorized a Resolution Authorizing Emergency Repairs at our fields ( 7701 Nichals St)
